JOHNNY LLOYD NEW EP 'DREAMLAND' OUT 10 JUNE 2016 // STREAM 'HELLO DEATH' PRODUCED BY JAMIE T

Johnny Lloyd will release his new solo EP Dreamland on 10 June 2016 through Xtra Mile Recordings. You can listen to Jamie T-produced track 'Hello Death' right now.

'Hello Death' is the new solo track from Johnny Lloyd. Produced by Jamie T at his studio in Hoxton, the track is a statement of intent, released ahead of the solo EP 'Dreamland', out May 13th on Xtra Mile Recordings. Video directed by Tobias Ross-Southall. https://www.facebook.com/johnnylloydm... https://soundcloud.com/johnnylloydmusic https://twitter.com/JohnnyLloydUK https://www.instagram.com/johnny_s_lloyd/

Hello Death is about saying goodbye” says Lloyd. "I wrote it during a transition in my life. Saying goodbye to old faces and ways. It was the end of one time and the start of another."

Lloyd’s solo EP is a year in the making. Having started working with Jamie T back in March 2015, he spent the summer producing tracks with Hugo White (of The Maccabees) at the band’s studio in Elephant & Castle. Together they worked on 'Happy Humans' and ‘Pilgrims' –demo versions of which have racked up over 200,000 streams already after Lloyd recorded them at home on his 8-track – and ‘Dreamland', which all feature on the new release.

The resulting 4-track EP is an exciting, rousing but melancholic work about "new beginnings, realisations and trying to find a place in life”.

2016 is set to be an exciting year for Lloyd. Having recently supported Jamie T, Mystery Jets and just finished support slots on The Maccabees UK tour, future dates are lined up including a tour with Black Honey and a forthcoming solo tour. More info on the Black Honey tour can be found here.

"Woozy, washed-out guitar work with a metronomic beat and languid vocals to create a warm psychedelic outing" – The Line Of Best Fit

"Lo-fi melancholy is decidedly unpolished, and it’s all the better for its roughness" – Pigeons & Planes
