XTRA MILE RECORDINGS SINGLE SESSIONS VINYL BOX SET

XTRA MILE RECORDINGS SINGLE SESSIONS VINYL BOX SET

Three years into Xtra Mile's decade of musical delights, the 7" Single Sessions was born. Featuring tracks by Reuben, Dartz!, and Frank Turner's first ever official solo release, among others, they were four pieces of vinyl history.

In celebration of 10 years of Xtra Mile, we present the Xtra Mile Recordings Single Sessions Box Set.

Featuring 9 tracks from 8 bands on 4 coloured vinyl discs, all rounded off in a bespoke, cosy, Xtra Mile-emblazoned box, this is a must-have collector's piece.

Ask your local independent record shop to request the box set. There is a list of shops who are stocking the box set below.

Hey non-UK peoples! We don't want you feeling sad and left out, so please have a look at our online shop where you can purchase the box set and get it delivered.

All four colours, all nine tracks, all presented in a simple and stylish souvenir box. You really want this, believe us.

10 BONUS TRACKS AND HOW TO GET THEM

This really is the box set that keeps on giving. In addition to the nine tracks that you should be spinning right now, you can also download 10 bonus tracks - one from each year of Xtra Mile's existence.

How? First, gather your 7" singles and put them in a row (or a square, or a diamond - whatever your shapely preference). On the back of each sleeve is a number hidden on the artwork. Put the digits together in order - each side of vinyl is a letter which makes up "Xtra Mile", so that should help - then go to www.xtramilerecordings.com

Simply log in to your Xtra Mile shop account - or register if you haven't already - go straight to 'Checkout' and input the code into the 'Promotional Code' box. Once you click 'Apply', you will be taken to a confirmation screen which will then allow you to download the following tracks:

2004 - Million Dead 'I Gave My Eyes To Stevie Wonder'
2005 - Reuben 'Kick in the Mouth'
2006 - Dartz! 'Fantastic Apparatus'
2007 - Jonah Matranga 'Not About a Girl or a Place'
2008 - Frank Turner 'I Knew Prufrock Before He Was Famous' [live from Shepherd's Bush Empire]
2009 - The Xcerts 'Crisis In the Slow Lane'
2010 - Straight Lines 'Versus the Allegiance'
2011 - I Am The Avalanche 'Brooklyn Dodgers'
2012 - future of the left 'Robocop 4 - Fuck Off Robocop'
2013 - Ben Marwood 'These Are the Days When You Can't Go Home'

From the aggressive, metaphor-laden, staccato eruption of 'I Gave My Eyes To Stevie Wonder' to the flourishing and flighty wordplay of 'These Are the Days When You Can't Go Home', via the power-pop of 'Versus the Alliegiance' and the fuzz-country of 'Not About A Girl or a Place', the breadth and depth of Xtra Mile's history is plain to hear.

Tracklisting:
Side X - Chris T-T and the Hoodrats 'The Bear'
Side T - To Kill A King 'Rays'

Side R - Larry and His Flask 'The Battle for Clear Sight'
Side A - Beans On Toast 'Deadline'

Side M - Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun 'Wilderness of a Wild Youth'
Side I - Crazy Arm 'Remembrance'

Side L - Möngöl Hörde 'How The Communists Ruined Christmas'
Side E - Jamie Lenman 'Fizzy Blood/Pretty Please'
